LTC3543 is a high efficiency monolithic synchronous current mode buck regulator. The switching frequency is internally set at 2.25MHz, allowing the use of small surface mount inductors and capacitors. In PLL mode, this device can acquire frequencies between 1MHz and 3MHz. Also, this device has spread spectrum capability providing a lower noise regulated output, as well as low noise at the input. The 100% duty cycle provides a low dropout operation, extending the battery life in portable systems. Burst Mode operation increases efficiency at light loads, further extending battery life. The internal synchronous switch increases efficiency and eliminates the need for an external schottky diode. It is used in application such as portable instruments, cellular phones etc.

- Overtemperature protected, regulated feedback voltage is 0.6V typ at (TA = 25°C)

- Current mode operation for excellent line and load transient response, soft-start
- Supply current is 375μA typical at (VOUT = 90%, ILOAD = 0A)
- Supply current in shutdown mode is 1µA maximum at (VRUN = 0V, VIN = 5.5V)
- Operating temperature is -40°C to 85°C
- Package style is 6-lead plastic DFN
