TSC2020IST is a precision, bidirectional current sense amplifier. It can sense current via a shunt resistor over a wide range of common-mode voltages, from -4 to +100V, whatever the supply voltage is. It is able to sense very low drop voltages, minimizing measurement error. It is a current sense amplifier that may be used for various functions like precision current measurement, overcurrent protection, current monitoring, and feedback loops. This device fully operates over the supply voltage range of 2.7 to 5.5V, and over the industrial temperature. Application includes high-side/low-side current sensing, battery management system, 48V power distribution, 48V power tools, motor control, automotive.
- Common-mode rejection is 112dB typ (VICM = - 4 to 100V, DC mode, T = 25°C)
- Offset voltage is 150µV max (VICM = 12V, VREF = 1.35V, T = 25°C)
- Offset drift vs. temperature is 0.5µV/°C max (VICM = 12V, Tmin < T < Tmax, T = 25°C)
- Enhanced PWM rejection, gain is 20V/V typ (- VCC = 2.7V, VICM = 48V, T = 25°C)
- Gain error is 0.01% typ (ΔVOUT = 100mV to (VCC - 100mV), T = 25°C)
- Gain error drift is 3.5ppm/°C max (Tmin < T < Tmax, - VCC = 2.7V, VICM = 48V, T = 25°C)
