MCP6546T-I/OT is an open-drain output sub-microamp single comparator. The output is open-drain and is capable of driving heavy DC or capacitive loads. This comparator is optimized for low power, single-supply application with greater than rail-to-rail input operation. The output limits supply current surges and dynamic power consumption while switching. It can also be used as a wired-OR logic. The internal Input hysteresis eliminates output switching due to internal noise voltage, reducing current draw. Typical application includes laptop computers, mobile phones, metering systems, hand-held electronics, RC timers, alarm and monitoring circuits, windowed comparators, multi-vibrators.
- Quiescent current (per comparator) is 0.6µA typ (IOUT = 0, VDD = 1.6 to 5.5V, VSS = GND, TA = 25°C)
- Rail-to-rail input range from VSS - 0.3V to VDD + 0.3V
- Open drain output pull-up voltage range from 1.6 to 10V (VDD = +1.6V to +5.5V, VSS = GND, TA = 25°C)
- Propagation delay (high-to-low) is 4.0µs typ (VDD = +1.6V to +5.5V, VSS = GND, TA = 25°C)
- Supply voltage range from 1.6 to 5.5V (VPU ≥ VDD, VDD = +1.6V to +5.5V, VSS = GND, TA = 25°C)
- Low switching current
- Input hysteresis voltage is 3.3mV typ (VCM = VSS, VDD = +1.6V to +5.5V, VSS = GND, TA = 25°C)
