The MAX8881EUT18+T is an ultra low supply current, low dropout linear regulator with internal power-OK (POK) comparator in 6 pin SOT-23 package. This device provides factory preset output voltage of 1.8V and it is capable of delivering up to 200mA output current. It is designed for battery powered applications where reverse battery protection and long battery life are critical. The low 3.5μA supply current of this regulator extends battery life in applications with long standby periods. Unlike PNP based designs, a 2ohm PMOS device maintains ultra low supply current throughout entire operating range and in dropout condition. The MAX8881 is internally protected from output short circuits, reverse battery connection and thermal overload. An internal power-OK comparator indicates when the output is out of regulation. The device is used in smoke detectors, battery powered alarms, remote transmitters, smart battery packs, CMOS back-up power supply, handy terminals and real time clocks.

- Shutdown supply current of 1.5μA
- OUT line regulation of 0.01%/V and OUT load regulation of 0.006%/mA
- Dropout voltage of 100mV at IOUT = 50mA
- POK trip threshold of 90.5% of VOUT at TA = +25°C (falling) and 1.5% of VOUT (hysteresis)
