The MAX31723MUA+T is a digital thermometers and thermostats with SPI/3-wire interface in 8 pin µMAX package. It provides temperature reading that indicate the device temperature. No additional components are required device is truly temperature to digital converter. For applications that require greater temperature resolution user can adjust the readout resolution from 9bits to 12bits. This is particularly useful in applications where thermal runaway conditions must be detected quickly. The thermostat has a dedicated open-drain output (TOUT - complementary). Two thermostat operating modes, comparator and interrupt, control thermostat operation based on user defined non-volatile trip points (THIGH and TLOW). It is used in networking equipment, cellular base stations and any thermally sensitive systems.
