BTG70501EPLXUMA1 is a BTG7050-1EPL PROFET™ load guard smart high-side power switch. It provides protection functions and enhanced diagnosis capabilities. The device offers an adjustable current limitation to offer higher reliability for protecting the system. In case of a short circuit to ground the PCB traces, connectors, as well as loads, can be protected. Furthermore, the PROFET™ Load Guard has a capacitive load switching mode implemented to charge capacitors. Potential applications includes replaces electromechanical relays, fuses and discrete circuits, protection of system supply, main switch for ECU power supply, driving resistive, inductive and capacitive loads, driving heating elements, driving ADAS and AD modules, e.g. cameras, radar, ultrasonic, and LIDAR modules, driving sub modules, e.g. displays, driving communication modules, e.g. antennas, Bluetooth, V2X, Wi-Fi.

- Qualified for automotive applications, product validation according to AEC-Q100, grade 1
- Operating voltage is 3V to 28V, maximum current in sleep mode is 0.5µA (TJ ≤ 85°C)
- Typical ON-state resistance is 50mohm (TJ = 25°C), nominal load current is 3A (TA = 85°C)
- Typical current sense ratio is 2030 (at IL = IL(NOM))
- Adjustable overcurrent limitation range from 0.79A to 8.86A, overvoltage protection
- Proportional load current sense, open load in ON and OFF state, short circuit to ground and battery
- Absolute and dynamic temperature protection with restart control, adjustable overcurrent limitation
- PG-TSDSO-14 package, junction temperature range from -40 to +150°C
