Product Overview
The MAX890LESA+T is a 1.2A, current limited, high side P-channel switch with thermal shutdown in 8 pin NSOIC package. This smart, P-channel MOSFET power switch is intended for high side load switching applications. This switch operates with inputs from 2.7V to 5.5V making it ideal for both +3V and +5V systems. Internal current limiting circuitry protects input supply against overload. Thermal overload protection limits power dissipation and junction temperatures. The maximum current limit of MAX890L is 1.2A. The current limit through the switch is programmed with resistor from SET to ground. The quiescent supply current is 10μA and supply current decreases to 0.1μA when the device switch is off. It is used in PCMCIA slots and access bus slots.

- Current limit amplifier threshold of 1.240V at TA = 0°C to 85°C
- Turn-on time of 120µs at VIN = 5V, IOUT = 500mA and turn-off time of 5µs at TA = 0°C to +85°C
