Product Overview
The MAX735CPA+ is a -5V/ adjustable, negative output, inverting, current mode PWM regulator in 8 pin DIP package. This is CMOs inverting switch mode regulator with internal power MOSFETs. It employs a high performance current mode pulse width modulation control scheme to provide tight output voltage regulation and low subharmonic noise. The fixed frequency oscillator is factory trimmed to 160KHz allowing for easy noise filtering. This power conserving features along with high efficiency and application circuits that lend themselves to miniaturization, make the MAX735 excel in a board range of on-card and portable equipment applications. Ideally used at board level DC-DC conversion, battery powered equipment and computer peripherals.
- Single supply range from +4V to +6.2V (converts 4V to 6.2V input to -5V output)
- Operating temperature range from 0°C to 70°C
- 200mA output current guaranteed for input greater than 4.5V
- 1.6mA quiescent supply current and shutdown mode reduces this to 10µA
- 1W guaranteed output power (VIN ≥ 4.5V)
