Product Overview
ADM3486E is a low power data transceiver. This half-duplex transceiver that share differential lines and have separate enable inputs for the driver and receiver. This device have a 12k ohm receiver input impedance, which allows upto 32 transceivers on a bus. Because only one driver should be enabled at any time, the output of a disabled or powered-down driver is tristated to avoid overloading the bus. It is widely used in application such as power/energy metering, telecommunications, EMI-sensitive systems, industrial control, local area networks etc.

- Receiver open-circuit, fail-safe design
- Low power shutdown current
- Common-mode input range is −7V to +12V, supply voltage is 3V to 3.6V
- Thermal shutdown and short-circuit protection
