AFBR-S6EPY12121R is an ezPyro thin film digital (SMD) I²C pyroelectric IR broadband sensor with 2.2µm long pass filter. The ezPyro of thin film digital pyroelectric IR sensor combines a high-quality sensor with a high level of configurable electronic integration in a small SMD package. High sensitivity combined with fast response times ensures rapid and accurate detection of target gases. This sensor integrates a digital, current-mode read-out that enables lower IR-emitter duty cycles, thereby saving significantly on system-level power consumption, while maintaining high SNR. Programmable gain and filtering offer maximum flexibility in system design. Applications include gas sensing: CO2, CO, CH4, NO, anaesthetics, refrigerants, exhaust gases, etc, flame detection: CO2 and H2O gases from hydrocarbon or hydrogen flames, food and oil analysis: sugars, proteins, fats, base and acidic numbers, motion detection, gesture recognition.
