AD7983BCPZ-RL7 is a 16bit, successive approximation, analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) that operates from a single power supply, VDD. It contains a low power, high speed, 16bit sampling ADC, and a versatile serial interface port. On the CNV rising edge, it samples an analogue input IN+ between 0V to REF with respect to a ground sense IN−. The reference voltage, REF, is applied externally and can be set independently of the supply voltage, VDD. Its power scales linearly with throughput. The SPI-compatible serial interface also features the ability, using the SDI input, to daisy-chain several ADCs on a single, 3-wire bus and provides an optional busy indicator. It is compatible with 1.8V, 2.5V, 3V, or 5V logic, using the separate supply VIO. It is used in applications such as automated test equipment, data acquisition systems, medical instruments, and machine automation.

- Signal-to-(noise + distortion) is 91.6dB typical at (fIN = 10KHz, VDD = 2.5V, VIO = 1.71V to 5.5V)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, 10-lead LFCSP-WD package
