Product Overview
TPD4165K,F(S is a DC brushless motor driver using high voltage PWM control. It is fabricated by high voltage SOI process. It is a three-shunt resistor circuit for current sensing. It contains level shift high-side driver, low-side driver, IGBT outputs, FRDs and protective functions for overcurrent circuits and under voltage protection circuits and thermal shutdown circuits. It is easy to control a DC brushless motor by just putting logic inputs from an MCU or motor controller to the TPD4165K. Application includes DC brushless motor driver IC.
- High voltage power side and low voltage signal side terminal are separated
- Best for current sensing in three shunt resistance, 3-phase bridge output using IGBTs
- Bootstrap circuit gives simple high-side supply, bootstrap diodes are built in
- Typical operating power supply voltage is 15V (Ta = 25°C)
- Current dissipation is 0.8mA typical at (VCC = 15V, Ta = 25°C)
- Input current is 50μA maximum at (VIN = 5V, Ta = 25°C)
- Minimum operating pulse width is 0.8μs (VBB = 280V, VCC = 15V, Ta = 25°C)
- Output on delay time is 1μs typical at (VBB = 280V, VCC = 15V, IC = 1.5A, Ta = 25°C)
- FRD reverse recovery time is 200ns typical at (VBB = 280V, VCC = 15V, IC = 1.5A, Ta = 25°C)
- 30 pin DIP type package, operating junction temperature range from -40°C to 135°C
