Product Overview
ADM709 is a power supply monitor which generates a system reset during power-up, power-down and brownout conditions. When VCC falls below the reset threshold, active-low RESET goes low and holds the µP in reset. On power-up the active-low RESET output is held low for 140ms after VCC rises above the threshold. The active-low RESET output remains operational with VCC as low as 1V. Typical applications are microprocessor systems, computers, controllers, intelligent instruments, critical μP monitoring, automotive systems, critical μP power monitoring.

- Supply current is 85µA max (VCC <lt/> 3.6 V, TA=0°C to +70°C, VCC=full operating range, TA=TMIN to TMAX)
- 4.65V reset threshold
- VCC to active-low RESET delay is 20µs typical (VCC=reset threshold max–min, TA=TMIN to TMAX)
- Active-low RESET active time-out period is 380ms max (VCC=reset threshold max, VCC rising)
- Active-low RESET output voltage is 0.4V (ISINK=3.2mA. VCC=reset threshold min, TA=TMIN to TMAX)
- Temperature rating range from -40°C to +85°C
- 8-pin SO package
