Product Overview
AD7384-4 is a 14bit pin-compatible, quad, simultaneous sampling, high speed, successive approximation register (SAR), analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) operating from a 3.0V to 3.3V power supply with throughput rates up to 4MSPS. The analogue input type is a pseudo differential and is sampled and converted on the falling edge of CS (active high). This has on-chip oversampling blocks to improve dynamic range and reduce noise at lower bandwidths. The oversampling boosts up to two bits of added resolution. A buffered internal 2.5V reference is included. Alternatively, an external reference up to 3.3V can be used. The conversion process and data acquisition use standard control inputs allowing easy interfacing to microprocessors or digital signal processors (DSPs). Application includes motor control position feedback, motor control current sense, data acquisition systems, erbium-doped fibre amplifier (EDFA) applications, in phase and quadrature demodulation.
